The Broombusters are a LIVE Rhythm n Blues, Rock n Roll, Ska and Reggae infusion band based in the heart of UK’s second city, Birmingham.

The Broombusters are Charlie Wolfman on Guitar & Vocal and his backing band. The band has a superb collection of experienced musicians who really enjoy playing to small and large crowds around the UK and abroad. The rainbow colours in The Broombusters’ logo reflect the multicultural aspect of the band teamed with their original fusion of different musical genres.

The Broombusters deliver a unique fusion of Blues and Reggae, namely ‘Reggae Blues.’ Rhythmic Reggae basslines matched with gritty Blues chords form to create an original sound.

The band is lead by Charlie Wolfman (fourth from the left) from the late 70’s and 80’s disco soul band the J.A.L.N. Band. The J.A.L.N. Band had  a number of chart successes like Disco Music (I like it), I Got To Sing, Get Up and Let Yourself Go and many more. The band was managed by Pete Waterman and toured Europe and most parts of the world for over 25 years.

They made many appearances on Top Of The Pops and performed alongside other acts such as Chaka Khan and Kool And The Gang. The band released many singles and albums which are still enjoyed today.

Reggae music is the heart of The Broombusters. They take influences from Bob Marley, Toots & The Maytals, Bob Dylan, Ellmore James, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters to name a few.

The Broombusters totally encompass the heart and soul of the Reggae music in their own inimitable way. The ‘Wolfman’ has an infectious, charismatic persona onstage which always has the crowd going wild!
